Because you likely only hit the touristy areas of Tokyo and don’t know the city well.
Oui Osaka est merveilleuse. Certains disent qu’elle est un peu “punk” 😀
People are different.
Osaka is smaller and much more of a (maybe two-headed) single city than Tokyo. Tokyo always felt to me like a bunch of different cities fused together around a hollow core (the Imperial Palace). I feel that Tokyo would be much more appreciated on a more local scale, it’s just too big to be swallowed at once.
A wise man once said ‘Tokyo is like a record collection. Osaka is like a “Now, that’s what I call music!” Party hits album. Both contain all your favourite hits.’
