My debit card was stolen yesterday, and someone used it for two transactions (about 11,000 yen total).
At the time of those transactions, I was on a train, while the payments were made at a shopping area near Osaka Umeda (HEP FIVE). I’ve already explained this to the police and filed a report.
I also submitted a loss/fraud report to Sumitomo Mitsui Bank through their online form.
Is it enough to wait for the bank’s investigation, or is it better to go to a branch in person? And how likely is reimbursement in cases like this? What else can I do in this situation? I really need my money back 😞
