Anyone in the moving business ?
We need to calculate whether fridge will fit up stairs with a 180 degree u bend asap
We have just moved and didn’t realise how narrow the stairs are ( yes we should have measured first)
We have a large fridge which won’t fit. Lovely Panasonic, Eco Navi, family one.
Only option is a crane.
I went to Nitori and Bic Camera but even though I speak Japanese the first guy just didn’t want to talk to a foreigner, the second was nice but young and his print out calculations for fridges there he read wrong so hard to trust. That said for a 47 cm width fridge a clearance diagonally of 88 cm was needed…
Basically another option is buy a smaller one.
But I’m struggling ti figure out if it’s possible – ChatGPT says yes ! ( but you know…, notbalways reliable)
Staircase width 75cm
We are considering buying a smaller fridge but want to know the costs of moving.
The smaller fridge is 60 .5 cm width 64 depth 181 height
The u – bend has 5 steps.
The diagonal space is 106 cm
The height is 2m except for the last step which is 157 on the left side l( right side has no ceiling.
The kitchen door is 68cm – tight but ok I think…
Does anyone know if this could work, it would be tight but I’m wondering if it’s do-able.
Then we would sell the lovely bigger fridge 😭
The crane is 40,000
We have paid so much with key money and movers we really need to figure out what’s possible .
If the smaller one won’t fit it’s just sho-ga-nai we can’t have a tiny one.
