Hello.
I graduated this month in Kansai and moved to Kanto for work. However, I was just able to apply for visa status change early this month. When I applied for it, I submitted a letter asking them if I could claim my residence card in Kanto instead of going back to Kansai to get it. I also put my Kanto address on the post card. They just accepted the letter and told me that will discuss first.
I have some questions:

Now that I am here in Kanto, how can I ask for an update? They gave me a number to call but lo and behold, it is either busy or no one is answering.

Can I go to directly to Kanto immigration office to ask for an update?
My friends (same visa status) got their new card from 10 to 30 days post-app.
