I am on a work visa here and will be quitting my job in a few days. I plan on staying in Japan for a two months before returning home. My question is how to enroll in national health insurance after finishing my job.
The thing is I plan to move out of my apartment and stay at a few friends houses before heading back. I will completely move out of my apartment to save on rent. Is it possible to pay for the insurance until I leave all at once? I don’t want it billed to my apartment as I won’t be living there in a few weeks.
I plan on visiting my ward office once I quit my job to ask these same questions, but wondering if anyone who’s done this before has any insight? I appreciate it.
