Late to a nijikai, how bad is it?

Hi, as it says on the title I was late to a work drinking party, by 25 minutes (😬). There’s nothing I can do about it now, I’m usually early to things but, stuff came up that I couldn’t really predict or change.

People didn’t seem outwardly annoyed, but it’s Japan so of course, they were. I’m just thinking how long lasting will the impact be… it was a 送別会 so there definitely feels more weight to being late, but also since it was the 二次会, perhaps it’s not as serious an offence since the first party is the ceremonious one. Thoughts and opinions?
