Is This a Decent Japan Offer? ¥230k/month + Housing + Bonus

I am 21 year old Indian starting a job in Japan (Aichi region) as an automobile engineer, and I wanted to get some perspective on whether this is a good offer.

  • Monthly salary: ¥230,000
  • Company housing provided
  • Utilities: ~¥20,000/month (deducted from salary)
  • Bonus: ~3 months salary annually

Given that housing is taken care of and only utilities are deducted, I’m wondering:

  1. Is this considered a good starting salary for someone in my field in Japan?
  2. Is it realistic to expect meaningful savings with this setup?
  3. Is Aichi relatively affordable compared to other places?

Would really appreciate honest insights
