4. I went there almost by accident a few years ago and had the same experience. Such a beautiful place and incredible garden. I think I spent literal hours just wandering around.

8. One of the best places in Kyoto. Not really on the well known list but just right there at the overrun bamboo forest.

   Just stroll from there along to adashino nenbetsuji many wonderful temples and gardens to see along the way.
