Hi all! Hoping to hear from anyone who has suggestions on my itinerary for early October. I've been building this based on recommendations from this sub and other sources so really looking forward to seeing what you all think, and thanks everyone for posting their ideas here.
One major question I have right now is this – should I stay 3 nights in Takayama with the first night at the Autumn festival and then two day trips? Or should I spend one night in Takayama then two nights near Mt Fuji? I'm also considering a Mt Fuji day trip from Tokyo when I'll be with my MIL.
