Hi everyone.
After many years, I’m traveling to Japan. I’ll arrive at Narita in the morning of Sunday 5 and fly back home on Monday 13, morning as well, from Haneda.
The problem is I still can’t decide where to go first lol
I’ve studied in Saitama a few years ago, so I know most of Tokyo and I’ve been to Kyoto for a couple days, a very rushed trip honestly.. other than that I could only see Nikko and Yokohama.
The point is, I only have 8-ish days available, and I would love to go to the places I already know, but also see something new. In particular, I’ve always dreamed of seeing Tokyo and Kyoto in full bloom, but I think it’ll be too late.
So I was thinking of adding Kanazawa, and leave out Kyoto, and Nara.. and Osaka for this trip. 😪
Now, I’ll have to be in Tokyo on April 8, which really makes things even harder!
So I feel like I have only two alternatives:
5-8 Kanazawa — 8-13 Tokyo
or:
5-9 Tokyo — 9-12 Kanazawa and then back to Tokyo for departure
Maybe adding a day-trip from Kanazawa to Kyoto as it’s only 2h.
The huge problem: will I be able to catch some blossom if I’m in Tokyo from 5 to 9, considering the expected heavy rain too?
Or is it better to just leave it for later and go to Kanazawa first as flowers are starting to bloom and will probably reach full bloom by April 6-7, maybe?
What would you do?
