Hi all, I have been to Japan twice and am a big anime figure collector, each time I have come back I have a had a couple of suitcases filled with figures and padded with clothing. My process has been to get a hotel near Akihabara, I buy all my figures, get them back to the hotel, flat pack the boxes into the bottom of my suitcase, cut the plastic packaging and put the plastic on recycling bags.
It has saved me alot of money in my hobby doing it this way as the same figures cost 10 times here. Half my evenings last time were spent cutting plastic and walking back and forth to shops. Does anyone else do this and have a any tips for transporting and recycling? I can deal with the walking back with figures, but the plastic cutting takes ages.
