Hello everyone!
I am new to Japan (Toyama) and am trying to get private housing. I need a Japanese Emergency Contact to even apply. I have already tried my ESL dispatch and they won't be my EC because I didn't take *their* corporate housing. And my schools might be my EC. The Japanese EC companies I have heard about could get me blacklisted. Therefore, does anyone have any ideas how to get a Japanese EC if my schools won't agree? I don't want to be insensitive or inappropriate if I am to befriend a Japanese person and ask them if they would be willing to be my EC *only*, not guarantor, got that covered already.
