Anyone successfully moved to Japan in similar situation to me?

I just graduated and got my GED certificate and I had initially believed that I could get a working visa here if I found a company willing to sponsor it, but I recently learned you need 10+ years of relevant work experience to have your work visa sponsorship approved by the government. I realized this detail a little late now I'm in Japan wondering what to do next.

I don't have any criminal history completely clean, my Japanese is at a basic level and I'm an artist in my free time but never tried to make money at it or publish anything so I have not much of a portfolio or income history associated with it

I'd be willing to do pretty much anything to secure a job or some sort of stable long term visa so I could settle here but I have no idea where to go from here as all the paths seem to be blocked off to Americans

If anyone knows any visas I might be applicable for or companies employment agencies etc. I could go to I would greatly appreciate any help I could get right now

I figure while in Japan I should at least keep looking since that's what I came here to do, I am talented and a hard worker just inexperienced as I'm only 18 and not having much job experience

Thank you in advance I'd really really appreciate any bit of hopeful information I could get at this time
