I went to Takao-san for the first time despite being here for ages. Loved it! The lift/cable car is so worth it to avoid the steep 1-hour hike at the beginning. The way the lift swayed and bumped made me feel a nostalgic longing for times gone by.
I apologise in advance for my rant.
But what bothered me was the pair of tourists who stood at the side of the otera’s osaisen bako and filmed people praying. They kept filming for a good 5 minutes. Maybe I’m being overly sensitive because I’m somewhat religious. But they wouldn’t show that kind of disrepect in their home country’s churches/temples, so why do it overseas?!
Saw something (I think) while on the highway.
Car in front had a plastic bag dangling from the rear wiper. Odd…. Got closer, and it looked like it was dog shit? Is that a thing, like taking your empty beer cans with you in Shibuya…. take your pet’s crap home too?
My girlfriend proposed to me in Okinawa last week🥰
