Hello everyone !
I arrived in Japan a few weeks ago and going to live here for a while.
The fact that i'm currently a beginner in Japanese and living in some rural parts of Japan are probably not helping, but i cant actually understand the relation between NHI and My number card.
I moved from a prefecture to another, and needed to re apply for a National health insurance card. It is bound to a prefecture, so i get it. But was is actually the need of this card ?
I mean, is the NHI the thing i pay to actually have an insurance, and my number card just here to be used as the " card to show " that is still connected to that NHI ?
So like, if i relocate to another prefecture again, i will need to renew my NHI, or my "My number card" would be useless ?
I'm kinda lost on this topic, thanks in advance 🙈
