my husband and I will be traveling for the 1st time to Japan and decider to visit Okinawa for 4 days in September.
we're looking for a nice hotel that is close to the beach but also with the possibility to visit other places.
do you have any recommendations?

That’s a very broad question. Maybe define a preferred location besides close to a beach (it’s an island of course there beaches close by), price range, things interested in doing and such. There are hundreds of hotels, rentals of all sorts. Also will you have a rental car or not, it’s highly recommend in having one in most places.
Also keep in mind Sept and Oct are the height of typhoon season here in Okinawa. With that said, the past few years have been very mild in comparison with other years, but it doesn’t mean one wont happen durning that time.
