Hi everyone. My child is turning one by the end of May so I was thinking of applying for May enrollment. Unfortunately, I misread the dates on the city website and I already missed the deadline. So, I will have to apply for June instead. However, childcare leave ends one day before baby’s birthday. How do I navigate this? If I get accepted for June enrollment, I presume I can just ask my company for a few days of leave. But if I get rejected by my selected hoikuens, what do I do? I read that I can have my childcare leave extended, is that correct? Or will the childcare leave extension be denied because I failed to apply for hoikuen in time?
