My spouse visa expires in June, and I’m planning to leave Japan in May for an unknown period. I may also quit my job(for various reasons I cannot discuss here) after applying and before I leave the country.
My Japanese spouse works part-time, but I have a decent amount of savings.
I’m planning to apply for renewal before leaving and use savings as financial proof.
Has anyone been in a similar situation?
– Is part-time income a problem?
– Do savings help enough?
– Any issues leaving Japan during the process?
Would really appreciate any experiences or advice. Thanks!
Edit: yes, I will be coming back. Just uncertain how long I will be gone for.
I want to know if it will be an issue if I’m gone while the visa is unapproved.
