こんにちは!
I'm due to start at Doshisha University this September for the exchange program year abroad, but I've not really received any info from the uni about start times/what campus I'll be on/housing etc. I'm hopefully going to be on the Global Education Module/Japanese Language and Culture Module, although I have no idea if it's one or the other? Or both?
I'm not sure if I have a choice as to what campus I'll be on for my course. I've been in contact with someone who was at Doshisha this school semester and he was mostly at Kyotanabe for the exchange program, but is it course dependant or fully up to the student where we study? Anyway, any info would be super helpful!
Also, if anyone has any housing tips that would also be great, I see the appeal of living in dorms but the potentially strict rules are putting me off a little. Also, I am going with my friend who's a guy (I'm a girl) and I'm not sure if we'd be able to live in the same accommodation as the uni ones I've been able to find are gender separated (but lowk I might be looking in the wrong place because I can find very little info anywhere on Doshisha's website). I've been looking into private flats but I think I need the uni to be my guarantor, and it is very veryyyy difficult to find any student flats with two bedrooms which is what I'm hoping for. I'm also struggling to figure out where to live, as I would prefer to live in more central Kyoto rather than Kyotanabe, but again I don't know where I'll mostly be on campus. If anyone has any experience with this I'd love to hear from you!!
ありがとう !(hopefully this is the right sub!)
