hey guys, my wife and I (Mexican ) are about to have our first baby.
we have 2 very important requests for the hospital and those are:
, if possible that they accept c section request.
and imperative, that they take at least epidural requests
One of our friends recommend the red cross in katsushika, his wife , half Japanese, gave birth to their child there and was via c section. I called and inquiry about it and they told us that they indeed do it .
fast forward today , we are at week 30 of our pregnancy and in today's appointment they told us that they in fact , don't take c section requests and , what's infuriating me, they do take epidural requests, but because my wife can't speak Japanese, they will not do it. that is a story for a whole other post, when I argued with them saying that they had confirmed it was possible and that is it was true that only because she can't speak japanese they won't do it.
Anyway, now we're panicking, we're at week 30 and we lost our hospital.
do you have any recommendations for hospitals in or around Tokyo that take epidural requests?

Update regarding our current hospital Katsushika red cross. If you don't speak japanese avoid, it seems that they have been doing similar stuff since before

The racial discrimination is terrible.
My wife, a foreigner, doesn't speak much Japanese, so they told her she couldn't have an epidural and told her to go somewhere else. My wife isn't good at speaking or listening, but she can read and write.
They've graduated from a medical school, so they should be able to speak at least some basic English. There shouldn't be any problem.
They told us to get a referral letter and go somewhere else, or that we should learn some necessary phrases, basically trying to get rid of her.
The accounting staff also had their turn, but weren't called at all, and were told in an angry tone, "Maybe you didn't come on your own."
Even though they've graduated from a medical school, it seems like they can heal people's bodies but don't care about their hearts.
My wife was deeply hurt.
