Hello all! I have been living in Japan for 4 and a half years now and used to bike around (max of 30-40 kilos) in Kyushu 2 years before. It’s been 6 months that I moved to Tokyo and now that the stress of job has settled a bit, I bought a road bike from online marketplace and am excited to ride around. I live 15 mins out of Futako Tamagawa and saw on the map that it seems like a nice path to Haneda, which I am looking to ride soon.
If you are a cyclist around here, please feel free to drop your favorite bike trails around Tokyo. Don’t mind buying a Rinko and go out a bit. Just looking at some of the trails near Kanagawa in alltrails for now.
Also if you ride around often, would love to connect and perhaps ride together. I just know basics of riding but look forward to ride regularly, challenge myself w longer rides and pick things up as I go. Any words of wisdom ll also be appreciated as the rules have gotten much stricter recently. I have read up on them and trying not to panic while turning right on intersections.
