It might just be my impression, but I feel a more pronounced oppression from the Japanese towards foreigners. People say hello less often in my building, give me strange looks, or ignore me when I greet them. This was already the case for some before, but I find there are more than before.
Only people over 60 walking their dogs or the concierge seem friendly. I probably look strange, but at least, I'm polite (Japanese people are not really to be honest)
I have been here for more than 11 years, got my PR, got married and have two kids, but it is the first time that I really feel that it might be time to quit the country.
