Japanese urban river atmosphere and trying to make sense of why I like it so much (mixed photos from different places in 1 year)

Is it just foreigner bias or is there really something uniquely quaint and harmonic about the way rivers are incorporated into the architecture in Japan? I don't know, but I loved to walk along them.
