Hello everyone,
I am currently living in Japan under a humanities/International services VISA.
I am currently opening a subsidiary of an European company here in the country and we are going to apply for a HS Visa.
Some topics of the point table are quite "unclear".
I definitely qualify as depending on a few factors I would be having between 75 and 100 points. Though, as immigration seems to be more meticulous I would like to get as many points as possible (of course, as I would like to get the fast path to PR).
They mention multiple points such as:
\- Working experience: Does anyone know if apprenticeships are counted in experience?(3 years of universities where I worked half time in a company, half time studying). If so, would they count 1.5 years of experience?
\- Working for an SME: in some calculators found online, it seems that this alone gives 10 points, but sometimes you can also see that you need to have 3% of your revenues invested in R&D. Does that count for the moter company, or for the newly created one?
\- Working on projects related to industry relevant topics: do we need a written proof? I doubt my partner companies would write me an email or a letter mentioning "said person works for a project involving the ministry of defense/or the Japanese Nasa/Naval industry or whatever I could be involved in as these topics are supposed to remain untold untill unveiled.
\- Does JETRO support count as "receiving support from an organization supported by the ministry of Justice"?
If anyone has some hands-on experience with these different elements, I'd love to hear from you as every lawyer I met had different answers to these points.
Looking forward to your answers,
Chers 😊
PS: I do not request anything outside of the scope of this content, I do not care about processing time, fees or whatever. I just am looking for some clarifications or hands on experience about this VISA. If I break any rules, please tell me where I could post it…
