I’m wondering if my COE might get denied.

I previously worked in Japan as an engineer on a work visa. After leaving my company, I spent about 8 months job hunting while going to Hello Work, but wasn’t successful and ended up returning to my home country. (I did not overstay.)

Now I’ve received an offer from a Japanese company again, and my COE application has been submitted. Could my previous gap in employment be a reason for denial?

For reference, I’ll be earning around the average salary for Japanese people in my age group, and I also hold JLPT N1. (However, I haven't submitted a written explanation for the gap.)
