Hey all. We’re visiting Japan in late December. Planning 4 nights in Yokohama and then 5 in Tokyo. I’ve got the HR Tokyo booked for that leg and currently have the Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu booked for Yokohama. I’ve actually stayed at this hotel on business a few times and know it’s nice and has an excellent location with easy access to the Minato Mirai station. I’m considering a change to the HR Yokohama because I can book it on points and have a club cert.
Here’s the main question. Any real advantage to the HR location for a 4 night stay? I know it has proximity advantage to Chinatown and Yamashita park area but can’t think of anything else. Am I missing anything here? Thanks!
Just fyi in case anyone is curious. My wife has never been to Japan so the main reason for 4 nights in Yokohama is day trips planned for Hakone and Kamakura. Plus we will do some stuff in Yokohama that most tourists wouldn’t simply due to some places I want to share with her that wouldn’t be on typical itineraries.
