I understand that Golden Week is supposed to be extremely busy on the Shinkansen, and I will be travelling from Fukuoka to Kyoto on the 29th. I tried ordering on Smart-Ex, but it couldn't read my card, while the JR-West website isn't working for me either. Not really sure if I should wait to get the tickets until I get into Fukuoka the day before, in person, or if I should book immediately.
