In August, I’ll be traveling to Japan and visiting Kyoto and Tokyo, among other places.
I’m wondering if it’s better to spend the entire last day in Kyoto and take the Shinkansen to Tokyo first thing the next morning (7:00 a.m.), or if, on the other hand, I won’t miss much in Kyoto at night and it would be better to take the last Shinkansen (9:38 p.m.), sleep in Tokyo, and wake up there.
Additional information: I’ll be spending a total of 3 days in Kyoto: I’ll arrive in Kyoto around noon to have lunch and spend the afternoon there; the next day, I’ll take the Nara Line temple tour (Inari and Uji) to Nara to spend the afternoon there, then return to Kyoto for dinner; and I’ll spend my last day in Kyoto.
What should I do?
