Title is the main question – my wife and I have a month in Japan from mid may. We are currently planning to land in Tokyo, fly up to Sapporo and then explore Hokkaido for a week. We would then spend 2 weeks on the golden route with some branches off to do things like the shininamo kaido, before finishing in Okinawa and getting flights from Fukuoka over to china.
As it currently stands, this means a relatively rushed trip I think? Would you cut okinawa, Hokkaido or both and just focus on the mainland to explore further?
