What's the best way to use bun pro for a returning learner? I had finished Genki II in college, but that was some 9 years ago, and at the time Japanese was something I couldn't dedicate a ton of time to so my degree overtook it in time and importance and I never really got good at grammar or speaking by the end of it and I just kind of let retention die off to focus on my major.
I still have my old Genki 1 and 2 books/workbooks and I am considering using the bun pro decks associated with them, but should I just ditch Genki and go full bun pro with their own decks? I have about 40 days until I go to Japan and am really trying to ignite my memory. Never thought I would actually get to go there, but I had some good fortune so I actually get to go now AND with all my friends.
So essentially, should I try and hybrid Genki with bun pro, or maybe just go try out this new resource in isolation using the official bun pro decks?
Not exactly sure what my goal for Japan will be yet, I've essentially just been doing Kanji and vocab drills to try and reignite my memory so far for the past week, but I really need to tackle grammar now that my brain is back in gear. Hopefully I can get to early N4 by the time I get there. Not even sure if any of this effort will really be of any use this close out; does anyone have any other suggestions?
