I am having a hard time preparing documents to get married in Japan because the US consulate no longer issuing single status statements which is required by most city halls.. I'm not sure how to get it from my state and to get my birth certificate it costs over 100$ to get an apostille copy sent to me. Does anyone know how they combatted the single status statement?
