I'm asking for one of my employees. They submitted their visa renewal documents about 2~3 months ago but still haven't gotten a response from Immigration. Searching on Reddit, I've seen a mix of people say if they show the back of their current residence card that they can get delay the freezing of the account, but some mentioned it didn't work. My employee said they tried doing that a few times and it apparently didn't work.
These days, visa renewals are taking longer, so I was wondering if anyone had any recent information on what to do in a case like this. Their visa expires this week. I know they have an automatic 2 month extension as they wait on Immigration's response. I plan to go with them to a post office tomorrow to try to figure this out, but I thought I'd ask here in advance for anyone with recent experience.
