Travel Japan idk where or how to go

I’m thinking of leaving my job and travelling for a month or two but don’t like the idea of just staying in busy places like for a long time I’d think it would eat up my wallet but I’d like to go rural Japan for some parts and make my around enjoy the sights the mountains. and the sea side any recommendations any advice? On where I should go and save money too keep me there longer
