How bad is commuting on the Takasaki Line?

Thinking of moving to Saitama for a cheaper & bigger place. Currently checking apartments on the Takasaki Line. Does anyone have experience using this line for a daily commute towards Tokyo?

If you board from the stations that are further away from Omiya (Okegawa, Kitamoto, Konosu, Kita-Konosu, Fukiage, Gyouda, Kumagaya), are you able to get a seat, or do you have to stand for the whole trip?

Is the train often sardine-level packed? Is it only for certain stops, or is there a possibility of being a sardine for the whole ~1 hour travel?
