I am doing study about social impacts of the US military presence in East Asia. Specifically, my research focuses through the lens of coloniality on how the presence of overseas military bases shapes the experiences of local women, particularly regarding safety, systemic power dynamics, and cases of sexual assault.
I am looking to connect with local women from East Asia such as Okinawa/Japan, South Korea, or the Philippines who would be willing to share their personal stories, perspectives, or community experiences for this academic research.
