Hi everyone,
I already know that you need to fill out a form for the NCD to request bringing your own medication and that you need some documents from your doctor, which confirm your diagnosis and your dosage.
I wanted to ask people who have done a Work & Travel in Japan and how they managed with their medication.
I’m planning to do a Work & Travel next year and want to stay for at least 6 months. Is it allowed to bring 6 months worth of Elvanse? If not, how would I get it in Japan?
I’m not even sure if I could get a 6 month supply of Elvanse here to bring with me to begin with.
I’m a bit worried since I have no idea how the healthcare system in Japan works. Also, my Japanese isn’t good enough to communicate with psychiatrists there. I heard it might get expensive to get a new prescription there too.
Has anybody stayed in Japan for a longer period and brought their medication with them? If yes, how did you manage? How much did you take with you? If you ran out, what did you do?
Thx for your help!
