I'm planning to move to another area of Tokyo in the summer, but I need to break my lease early, and the contract says to inform my landlord one month in advance, so that's no problem. The only thing I'm confused about is if I need to submit some official letter or something to inform my landlord, or if I can just casually tell my landlord in person?
