I just took the written exam today and passed thinking the hard part was over only to find out that you have to memorize 3 course ROUTES and they pick a random course you have to do on the day of the test! I find this as such BS, like whats the point of having to memorize the course (and three at that!), why can’t they just provide a course that is outline by numbers that you have to follow in order while following the rules of the road wtf.
This is really frustrating and it just seems like they want to make it as hard as possible for applicants to pass. For people who have taken the test what advice would you give as to how to pass it, any sort of information would be highly appreciated.
Context:
We were ONLY told to memorize the 3 given courses as we will have to tackle one of them on the day of the test. Information such as the examiner will show you which way to go if you get lost or give you step by step instructions were not said. So it felt like passing a course all boiled down to memorization instead of driving skill, being able to analyze situations on the road, and knowledge on Japanese road laws which made no sense.
