Need Advice: Exploitative Employer and Planning to Leave Japan – How to Protect My Family?

I am writing this because I am currently at a breaking point and need some guidance from those who understand the system here.
I’m currently working in Japan on an Engineering/Humanities visa. For the past year, my employer has been forcing me to work in manual labor (hotel work) that is completely unrelated to my visa status and job description. Despite my degree and the contract I signed, I am being treated like a disposable worker.
The work environment is toxic. I’m the only young person in a group of elderly colleagues who frequently look down on me, and the management constantly pressures me to lie to immigration authorities if an inspection occurs. They have even threatened my position if I don't comply.
I have a young family (a two-year-old child) here with me, and we are planning to relocate to Canada in the near future. However, I’m terrified that if I stand up for my rights, I might lose my visa or jeopardize our future.
Here is my situation:
I have documented evidence (recordings, chat logs, contract discrepancies) proving they are violating labor laws and immigration rules.
I am currently suffering from stress-related health issues due to this toxic environment.
My goal is to secure my family's future, get out of this exploitative job, and eventually move to Canada.
I have a few questions for the community:
1 If I report this to the Labor Bureau (Rouki) and potentially take legal action, will my current visa be at risk? I’ve heard about the 'Designated Activities' (Tokutei Katsudo) visa for those in labor disputes – how does one actually apply for this?
2 How can I best protect my family financially while I transition out of this job? I am looking into 'Injury and Sickness Allowance' (Shobyo Teatekin) due to my health condition – is this a viable path?
3 Has anyone here successfully fought an exploitative Japanese employer and moved on to a better path or a different country?
I’m not looking to cause chaos, I just want what is fair and to ensure my family is safe and taken care of. I’ve started documenting everything. Any advice, resources, or tips on navigating this as an 'outsider' would be incredibly appreciated. Please be kind – I’m doing this for my family."
