Is it possible to fight a bad review on Mercari?

Context: sold a switch game in its original packaging, used a yuupost box. Since the box was quite a bit larger than the game, I taped it to the box so it doesn't move around as much during transport. I sent it on the same day, with prompt communication with the buyer.

Result: I get a bad review because the tape "left a mark on the game packaging".

So is it just me or is this some bullshit? What is actually wrong with some people that gives them the gall to give reviews like this? Do they feel no shame to nitpick something as inconsequential as tape? Like just clean it with some alcohol wipes jfc. And to top it all off, there is no way for me to respond. If I could, I would absolutely flame the fuck out of this guy. But what am I supposed to do? I am now weary of dealing with Japanese buyers on Mercari.

What happens if I just keep giving bad reviews even when underserved? It doesn't seem like there is anything in the system to stop it.
