I've tried to do some research on attending a Kabuki theatre performance in Tokyo in November. I feel like I may not be understanding what to expect. Does anyone have experience with the Kabuki theatre in Tokyo? Here's what I think I've figured out:
-We want to attend an act and not an entire day. I understand tickets are not on sale yet.
-November's theme is Auspicious Grand Kabuki (While I know what Auspicious means, I'm not sure if this means that we should expect for certain programs to be playing? They have not yet announced the schedule.)
-I think you can get an english translation guide, but I'm not certain. I've seen sites that say they are available and others that say they are not available. I've also read reviews that say the english guide is too distracting. Does anyone know if there is an english translation available, and if so, would you recommend it?
-I understand that you can have tea service and/or a meal at the theatre? Would you recommend this?
Is there anything else I should know or consider when I'm planning this day? Thank you in advance for your help!
