I recommend you to buy one at a discount shop such as Don Quijote or a retail store like UNIQLO. It costs about 1000 – 3000 yen.

I always buy the cheap Donki ones, but they usually only last a year or two for me.
I reckon I’m going to buy a nicer one this year.
I bought a simple one from Amazon to use as a costume for a Japanese stage play. It was still pretty comfortable and probably is my favourite traditional Japanese outfit.
Donki has nice 100% cotton ones. Konan as well, although they’re sorta hidden among the regular racks of clothes.
