Hi guys, I just got into studying Japanese and like the dumbo I am, i did a lot research on what i should use as learning material. I decided on Japanese from Zero (JFZ) because of the ramp up and all the resources they have.
My question: I bought the JFZ Book 1 and I just started it, is it worth getting the subscription on their website, i know they have quizzes and stuff not in the book but im not sure? or is the book and the supplementary lessons on Youtube good enough?
On the flip side, is the book better or worse than the website? I can do both my problem is not the money per se, but I want to know if it is worth it or not.

Don’t get both. Website and books are practically identical. Personally I would use the website and skip the books. You get almost the same content as the books, but with native audio, quizzes, and you can configure how fast you want the writing systems to be introduced.
(On a sidenote: To avoid any confusion, I think everybody calls it JFZ)
(I had a decent understanding of the very basics before I started with JFZ so I can’t evaluate how the books would work for a complete beginner (if you are a complete beginner?), but I hope I can offer some perspective)
I’ve studied almost all the JFZ books now, and I’ve been doing well without the additional materials (the youtube videos and website). I feel like the biggest benefit they could offer would be help with pronunciation/listening, if you’re not too familiar with that, but you’re probably not missing much that you couldn’t get from elsewhere. At least the youtube videos are free, so you won’t lose anything by checking them out and seeing if they are useful to you.
Also, be aware that there are some mistakes/typos in the books. I recommend trying to find a list of them beforehand so you can correct them before you learn something incorrectly and have to try to re-learn it correctly.
