I was strolling around Maruyama park during my recent visit to Kyoto and watched a local performer play the most BEAUTIFUL music with a very unique instrument that upon a google search may be called a “sonic hand pan.”
The community doesn’t allow videos so I’ll include a screen shot of a video I took of him, though I wish I could share the sounds with you all.
If anyone has any info on this musician I would be so grateful as I’ve found myself playing the minute long video I took on repeat just to hear it again. Thanks!
