There’s lots of dive shops that will outfit you and take you on a guided tour madea point / blue caves is
Is comfortable for most guides will also provide all the gear you’ll need
It may well be too cold. A reasonably thick wetsuit (can probably rent one?) might be critical to your enjoyment.
We did scuba training in January and even in a heated pool the windchill on anything not underwater was chilly.
It doesn’t get properly cold here but it does get cold enough to wear a jacket and pants on days in january.
Oodamari beach. Clear waters, many fish, netted, and they have lifeguards. The water will be around 70F in January. Most will be wearing a wetsuit but it’s tolerable without for a 30 min snorkeling session, just my opinion. Another great beginner spot with much better reef quality is Gorilla Chop, no life guards here though.
