My wife is Japanese but we live in the US. When our kid was born everything was incredibly hectic as we don’t have family nearby, so we missed the window to register them as a citizen after birth.
We would still like to get our kid citizenship as my wife’s family is all in Japan, just not sure what procedure to follow given the circumstances.
