Going home first time in an year (yay) and bought mochi & yatsuhashi for omiyage. Both have the expiry date until next month. Almost everything will be eaten immediately besides one packet of yatsuhashi that I'll be giving to a friend next month. Is there a proper way to store it? Should I refrigerate it cuz it gets upto 40° in my home country? And if so is it ok to refrigerate it for a month?
