Kyoto Kokusai advanced to the championship match of the Koshien High School baseball tournament with a come from behind victory today over “team of destiny” Aomori Yamada. The final match will be Friday against Kanto Daiichi of Tokyo.

Kyoto International advanced to the finals with a come-from-behind victory. Kyoto International was trailing by two in the top of the sixth inning, but with one out and the bases loaded, Hasegawa got a timely hit to tie the score, then they scored a run on an infield grounder by Hattori, and took the lead. On the pitching side, second-stringer Nishimura provided excellent relief, pitching five scoreless innings.
