I’m a non sofa US citizen currently living in Oki on a dependent visa. I’ve read several things online, and have heard from a few local friends that I should be able to work a part time job as long as I get approval from the Japanese government, and don’t work over 20 hours a week. Does anyone know what the process is for obtaining the approval to work? No one I’ve talked to seems to know, and I can’t find any updated info online.
