Dispatch Rates

Throwaway account for reasons. I know the rates are competitive and change with the area and BOEs but I was wondering if anyone has any information about the typical rates that JoyTalk, Interac, Heart, Borderlink typically charge the BOEs for ALTs. Namely:

  • the monthly rate
  • if March/April/summer is prorated or not or if it’s a full 12 month of the above pay
  • any other costs the BOEs are asked to pay on top (Insurance, etc.)
  • Any benefits the companies use to “sell” their services aside from full ALT management and training

(I know the rate that the BOE was charged over the last two years but I’m not sure how it all is calculated for the month and year.) If anyone has some reliable information I’d love to know either here or via PM. Thank you to anyone who can help!

Also, I’ve seen people mention in the past a clause that requires the BOE to pay a fee to the company if an ALT is hired directly but I’m wondering if there’s a term on this—is it typically just for the following year or the “two years” that I often see pop up here and if it’s even enforceable legally.
